  • Brelynn Witty

    Brelynn Witty , MD

    Hometown: Monroe, Louisiana
    College: Louisiana State University
Medical school: LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine
Anesthesiology interests: currently acute pain, regional (still exploring my interests!!)
Outside interests: Can't live without pilates and yoga! Also enjoy baking (macarons are my favorite to make), flowers, running/playing soccer, traveling, and exploring new foods/cultures.
Why UMass Chan?: I was very impressed with the program overall during my interview.  I chose it for many reasons: the breath of exposure, high acuity and case volume, plenty of anesthesia early-on, strong didactics/simulation, and competitive fellowship matches. More importantly, I wanted a program that emphasizes resident well-being, promotes a supportive learning environment, and is small enough to get to know everyone; this program fits that bill! Although I am from the South, I cannot get over how kind and friendly everyone at UMass Chan is. I truly feel at home here and am excited for the years to come!
