Center for Academic Achievement
The Center for Academic Achievement (CAA) is open to all students at UMass Chan Medical School. The academic achievement program is oriented toward prevention of academic problems through systematic needs assessment, mobilization of resources, and continuity of the support experience.
The CAA is comprised of faculty whose job is to assist students in achieving their educational goals. The following is a sample of areas where we have been able to help our students:
- Study skills
- Test-taking
- Reading
- Communication skills with teams, or with colleagues
- Write-ups
- Oral presentation skills
- Organization skills
- Time Management
- Issues of professionalism
- Life-long learning skills
Most of our work is 1:1 (faculty and student) but we are available to any group of students who wish help in the art of group studying.
