Student Affairs

Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Student Affairs is here to serve you in expanding the personal and professional skills that will allow you to pursue meaningful leadership in your communities, and the world.

We support and advocate for you throughout your experience at UMass Chan Medical School, in close collaboration with our colleagues, in tri-school Student Life/Affairs and across the entire UMass Chan ecosystem.

We use the four guiding principles of the Worcester Together Coalition anti-racism statement as an organizing and action framework for all we do -- from one-on-one advising to programming and policy. We expect to be held accountable by our students and community to demonstrate concrete actions and results based on our use of these foundational principles in our work.

The Asst/Assoc Dean of Student Affairs and Enrollment has four primary action areas:

  1. Individual and student group advising
  2. Serving as an advocate for students within the UMass Chan ecosystem
  3. Supporting individual and institutional training grants and fellowships
  4. Co-creating a campus environment that supports personal and professional well-being

Effective June 6, 2022 the Asst/Assoc Dean of Student Affairs position is vacant. Please direct your Student Affairs-related concern to the appropriate resources and contacts.
