Thinking Outside the Box

I've been thinking a lot recently about both motivation and the amazing mission of the Medical School, and how we tackle the ebbs and flows folks feel in being motivated despite working for a world-renown institution.
This article addresses some key points for me; I was particularly drawn to the section on Purpose, which explains: we feel a sense of purpose when we can experience firsthand how our unique contributions help other people and allow the team to progress.
In the spirit of a sense of purpose I encourage everyone to join UMass Chan Convocation and Investiture Cermony at 4 pm September 13 in the Albert Sherman Center Auditorium.
