UMass Chan Medical School invested in a major expansion of cooling technologies to support numerous campus projects that have added campus square footage. 

  • 2 cooling towers (2010-2012 expansion)
  • 4,000-ton York industrial chiller (2010)
  • 15kV switchgear supports starting up all chillers (2010)
  • Upgraded chilled water pumps (2018)
  • Updated variable frequency drives (2018)
  • 2nd new 4,000-ton York chiller to support the DiMare Research Center (2022)
