Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare for UMass Chan Students

Student Health partners with UMass Memorial and the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM) to offer all UMass Chan students comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare. Options for accessing care:

Students who have a Primary Care Provider (PCP) at UMass Memorial

  • Students who have established care with a UMass Memorial PCP have access to internal resources in addition to referrals for specialized sexual health and reproductive services to meet their needs.

Overview of Services Provided at Planned Parenthood:

Preventative Services: Cervical cancer screening, PAP test and follow-up, vaccines

Contraception: Birth control (Pills, IUD, implants, diaphragms or emergency contraception)

STI Services: (Testing, treatment, PrEP (pre- exposure prophylaxis) and PEP (post exposure prophylaxis).

Pregnancy Services: Planning, Testing, Options Counseling and medication abortion.

Gender Affirming Care: Hormone Therapy prescriptions/monitoring, mental health support and specialty referrals.

*Services are billed to insurance. Students are responsible for any copays, deductibles, or bills related to care. PPLM offers Financial Assistance based on eligibility by calling (508)854-3300.
