Medical Professionals of Tomorrow (MPoT)

Our chapter works with young men of color at North High School (NHS). We host a series of workshops to 1) address the decline of men of color in medicine and 2) expose them to the tools required to be successful as they develop their interests in pursuing a career in the medical field.

We are restarting this workshop series again in the 2022-2023 year. 

Our workshop schedule will include:

• Meet-and-greet with medical students
• Introduction to healthcare (e.g. basic cardiac physiology, opioid addiction)
• Skill-based learning (e.g. writing, basic science experiments)
• Career development & job training

Ultimately, we hope to act as mentors to these young men and assist them on their road to success!
