Program Highlights
Our clinical partner, UMass Memorial Medical Center, has the only Level 1 Trauma Center, Transplant Center and Children’s Medical Center in Central Massachusetts, which allows us to offer our residents a high volume of cases with diverse pathology. Our residents get to take part in hands-on procedures, communication skills training, research, LEAN training, QI projects, global radiology, wellness programs and more. Residents train in an environment focused on teamwork and clinical knowledge, with exposure to to cutting-edge research opportunities, under the direction of compassionate leadership.
Highlights include:
- High volume of radiologic studies with diverse pathology;
- UMass Memorial Medical Center includes the Children’s Medical Center, Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and transplant services (liver, kidney and pancreas);
- Hands-on procedural training;
- Multiple associated community hospitals, including UMass Memorial Marlborough Hospital, UMass Memorial Health Alliance-Clinton Hospital and UMass Memorial Health Alliance-Leominster Hospital;
- Departments of Translational Anatomy, Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering Research as well as Cell Biology and Imaging Research are all within the department;
- ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program with 20 residents;
- EPIC electronic medical record and AGFA PACS;
- Powerscribe for voice dictation;
- 1.5 and 3T MRI magnets;
