Balanced Stones
The Complementary and Integrative Health page provides information and resources to support your wellness.

Therapies are considered complementary when they are used in addition to conventional treatment to reinforce the immune system, relieve symptoms, and enhance the effectiveness of conventional therapies.

Integrative Health Care brings conventional and complementary approaches together in a coordinated way.  This approach focuses on the whole person and aims for well-coordinated care across providers and institutions.

Types of Complementary approaches include: natural products such as herbal medicines; mind-body medicine which includes meditation, yoga, acupuncture, deep breathing, guided imagery, qi gong, hypnotherapy, tai chi, and progressive relaxation; manipulative and body-based practices including massage therapy, and spinal manipulation; and additional therapies that are listed under “other” which include Reiki, healing touch, movement therapies, Traditional Chinese Medicine, traditional healers, homeopathy and naturopathy.
