Alexander Catoya, MD, ScM
Alexander Catoya, MD, ScM, joined the preliminary neuro residency program, and plans to join our neurology community next year. Alexander’s research interests include brain-computer interfaces and neuro-prostheses, and clinically he is interested in stroke and neuro-restoration.
Alexander spent time working in the BrainGate lab during his undergraduate and graduate career. Learning about neurotechnologies and their clinical potential drew his interest toward medicine.
Alexander is originally from Rutherford, New Jersey. He attended Brown University earning an ScB in Neuroscience, and an ScM in Biotechnology, before completing Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2024.
