Future plans: I am interested in going into a field that involves oncology work. Currently, I am interested in colorectal surgery, surgical oncology, and thoracic surgery.

Why UMASS?: Ever since I went to high school at Saint John’s in Shrewsbury and drove past UMass Memorial each morning, I had dreamed of one day training there. The incredibly supportive environment, immense operative exposure beginning day 1, and overall fantastic training all drew me to this program. Combining all of these important aspects with the fact that my family is real close by, is why I wanted to be at UMass.

Favorite thing to do in Worcester?: Golf, breweries, Woo Sox, food. The city has come a long way and it is a great time to be in Worcester. I enjoy snowboarding and snowmobiling and everything is a maximum a 2-hour ride from Worcester, making it the ideal location in New England.
