Holly Powderly- UMass Chan Medical School IT Innovation Internship Program

Holly Powderly 

ACIO, Customer Service 

Holly Powderly is the Associate CIO of the Information Technology Customer Service group. She has been an employee of UMass Chan Medical School for 15 years. Earlier in her career at UMass Chan, Holly managed teams responsible for software development, implementation and support on behalf of ForHealth Consulting, a business unit within UMass Chan. Prior to coming to UMass Chan Holly worked at Digital Equipment Corporation and provided Project Management oversight to software developers in Holland, Sweden and Switzerland. Holly enjoys boating in the bay around Warwick and East Greenwich Rhode Island. She calls a 36’ Carver yacht her summer home and docks it at Dickerson Marina while she skirts around the bay in her 14’ inflatable. Holly has 3 birds – African Grey, Meyer, and a parakeet.

Vincent Lee- UMass Chan Medical School IT Innovation Internship Program

Vincent Lee

Manager, Clinical Research Technologies 

Vincent Lee joined the UMass Chan IT in October 2014 as a senior product owner working with multiple scrum teams in Engineering and Academic Technology groups. During his time as a Product Owner, he truly advocates for his customers and inspires his teams in delivering quality IT solutions to many clients on campus including Center for Mindfulness (Teacher Certification Program), Office of School Services (Summer Outreach) and Office of Undergraduate Medical Education (NEGEA Mobile App). More recently, he is responsible for leading the institutional effort on implementing the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) which went live in October 2016. Vincent previously worked at Wolters Kluwer Financial Service as a Senior Product Manager prior coming to UMass Chan IT, and he has over 15 years of IT experience. Vincent holds a B.S. from Emerson College and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University. When he is not working, Vincent enjoys the culinary arts and travel around the globe.

 

Robert Lamothe- UMass Chan Medical School IT Innovation Internship Program

Robert Lamothe 

Sr. Unix Admin

Robert Lamothe is a Sr. Unix Admin and Engineer for Hosted Systems. He comes to UMass Med after having worked for such industry leaders as CSC, Fidelity Investments, Philips International and Houghton Mifflin. With over 25 years in the industry Bob has successfully lead many large projects and brings extensive experience in systems diagnostics and problem solving. When not at UMass Med Bob can be found on his 24’ cabin cruiser that he keeps on Lake Winnipesaukee, riding his Harley or doing genealogy on his family tree. Bob has deep New England roots including Mayflower passengers, participants in the Salem witch trials, and revolutionary and civil war soldiers.

Susan Girard- UMass Chan Medical School IT Innovation Internship Program

Sue Girard 

Sr. Business Systems Analyst 

Sue Girard  is a Sr. Business Systems Analyst in Information Technology. She has been a UMass employee for 5 years. During this time Sue has worked with various initiatives such as Ungerboeck, CRM and most recently supporting the many applications associated with the Facilities group. Prior to working at UMass she worked at Allmerica Financial , SundGard Insurance and Boston Scientific and has over 15 years of IT experience. Sue has her B.B.A. from Assumption College, Worcester, MA. When not working Sue and her husband can be found on a soccer field attending either a practice or game of their 2 daughters. When not on the soccer field (which isn’t often) she also enjoys exercising and spending time with family and friends.

Brian Coleman- UMass Chan Medical School IT Innovation Internship Program

Brian Coleman

Information Security and Compliance Officer

Brian Coleman  joined UMass Chan as the University's Information Security Officer in December 2013. He is responsible for ensuring that UMass Chan information is properly secured and university employees and students are aware of the importance of protecting confidential data. Brian brings to UMass Chan 20 plus years of IT management experience in Financial Services and Health Care, the last 10 years leading high performing Information Security teams. Brian has enjoyed success in implementing effective security programs and policies by partnering with stakeholders across the enterprise. He has a track record of working with management and users alike, educating and empowering them to play a critical role in protecting information. Brian prides himself on leading effective and cohesive teams and enjoys coaching and mentoring others towards reaching their career and life goals. He is excited about the opportunity to apply his experience towards building a "world class" Information Security program at UMass Chan.Brian has achieved his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certifications and has presented at numerous information security and privacy forums. Brian was born and raised in the Boston area and is a “die hard” Red Sox and Bruins fan. He now lives in Connecticut with his wife Susanna where they both enjoy hiking and bicycling the trails and back roads of central New England.

Patty Lanzillotti- UMass Chan Medical School IT Innovation Internship Program

Patricia Lanzillotti 

Sr. Director, Academic Computing 

Patricia Lanzillotti  is an accomplished IT management leader with 25+ years of experience in research and the higher education sector. She creates and promotes the vision for organizational growth and performance by defining enterprise technology strategies and solutions that improve efficiencies, support organizational goals and maximize the technology investment. Patricia combines her passion for both science and technology. She started her career in scientific research and found a unique opportunity to dive into the world of technology.Patricia dedicates her efforts to ensure cross-organizational collaboration to achieve common goals. With her valued understanding of the need for partnerships within an organization, her interactions with colleagues throughout the University increase synergy and enhance technical capabilities. Patricia manages the Academic Technology team in support of the mission of the academic communities. When not working Patricia enjoys time at Cape Cod.

Andrea Delaneyi- UMass Chan Medical School IT Innovation Internship Program

Andrea Delaney

Sr. Instructional Technologist 

Andrea Delaney  is a Senior Instructional Technologist in the Academic Technology group. Her experience is deep-rooted in education best practices, having started her career in educational research in public schools in the Boston and Cambridge systems. Andrea has been working closely with the faculty and staff of UMass Chan Medical School for the past 12 years, helping them to make the best use of technology tools for teaching and learning. She is proud to have been a key team member in the online design of the Learner-Centered Integrated Curriculum now in place in the T.H. Chan School of Medicine, and in helping new programs and departments throughout the school to bring their courses online. Andrea holds a B.S. from Boston University, and an Ed.M. from Harvard University. In her free time, she can be found on the beaches of Cape Cod in all kinds of weather, and building Lego vehicles of all shapes and sizes with her husband and son.

Stanislav Prodanov  - UMass Chan Medical School IT Innovation Internship Program

Stanislav Prodanov 

SEO/UX Analyst  

Stanislav Prodanov   joined UMASS in August 2015 as a Search Engine Optimization/User Experience Analyst. In this capacity he is working with customers from both the medical school and various research centers making sure that UMass Chan websites are well-optimized for search engines and provide great user experience. Prior to joining UMASS Stanislav has worked for a few consulting companies and FMCG companies and brings experience in digital marketing, web analytics and optimization. Stanislav holds an M.S. in Business Studies from University of Amsterdam and an M.B.A from Providence College. In his free time Stanislav enjoys spending time outdoors, playing tennis, swimming and cooking.
