Maria Garcia, MD

Dr. Garcia is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Family Medicine and Community Health at the UMass Chan Medical School. She serves as Associate Program Director for the UMass Internal Medicine Residency, Medical Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services at the UMass Chan Medical School and Physician Advisor for Utilization and Care Coordination at UMass Memorial Medical Center. She also has clinical responsibilities in the Division of Hospital Medicine.

Dr. Garcia holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She completed internal medicine residency training at the Boston University Medical Residency Program and received her master’s degree in public health from the University of Massachusetts.
