The Center for Integrated Primary Care (CIPC) offers individual modules to better serve the real-world constraints and learning needs of busy healthcare professionals. These are the same modules in the full PCBH certificate program.

• Flexibility for Busy Schedules: Some clinicians often don't have time to complete a full 36-hour PCBH certificate program all at once due to demanding patient care schedules. Individual modules allow learners to move at their own pace without a long-term time commitment.

• Just-in-Time Skill Acquisition: Providers frequently encounter specific clinical challenges in primary care—such as handling acute suicidality, navigating EHR documentation, or applying single-session interventions. Buying standalone modules allows clinicians to target exact knowledge gaps immediately when they need them for practice.

• Lower Financial Barrier: Offering modules individually makes high-quality training accessible to clinicians working with limited professional development budgets or out-of-pocket funds.

• Modular, Stackable Learning: Learners can try a single topic first to evaluate the curriculum before committing to additional parts or bundle multiple modules into one transaction to save money.

• The modules are broken into 3 different parts. You can select any module(s) in any part that interests you. After enrollment, you will have 3 months of access to the module. We use the learning management system (LMS), Canvas
• Each module is $125
• Each module is about 1 hour in length
• You will have access to one optional drop-in Office Hours via Zoom
• Modules are on-going open enrollment - you can enroll at any time and begin right away

Course director and faculty

Daniel Mullin, PsyD, MPH, is the Director of the Center for Integrated Primary Care, a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at UMass Chan Medical School, and a Professor at the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing. Dr. Mullin is a clinician, educator, and researcher focused on the integration of behavioral health and primary care services. He maintains a clinical practice at the Barre Family Health Center, a rural family medicine residency practice in Massachusetts. The Certificate Program is taught by more than 20 faculty, including national leaders in integrated behavioral health and primary care. Every faculty member is a practicing clinician with direct experience caring for patients in integrated settings.

Since 2007, the Certificate Program in Primary Care Behavioral Health has prepared behavioral health clinicians across the United States for productive and rewarding practice in primary care. Program completers join a community of behavioral health clinicians practicing in integrated primary care settings across the country.
