Continuing education credits

Each module is approved for 1 continuing education credit by both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).

Credential type:

Psychologists: Approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists

Marriage & Family Therapists: Approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors

Licensed Social Workers: Have the option of using either APA or NBCC credits. These clinicians should check with their licensing board to confirm which credits they can use

Not Licensed: Upon successful completion of the course, learners may view and download their official certificate of completion from their Canvas dashboard

How are CE credits awarded: 

Credits are issued on a per-module basis following completion. Learners may track their progress and module verification directly within the Canvas learning management system gradebook.

APA evaluation requirements: 

APA requires participant names to appear on course evaluations before CE credits can be issued. Please use your full name when completing evaluations.

Receiving your CE certificate: 

Must complete course requirements and evaluation to receive a continuing education credit certificate. CE certificates are delivered via the email address supplied by the learner when enrolling in the program.

Lost certificates: 

Replacement certificates can be purchased for $25; please email us, cipc@umassmed.edu 

About the certificate

Clinicians who complete a specific module or part will be able to download a Certificate in our LMS, Canvas, issued by UMass Chan Medical School's Center for Integrated Primary Care.

Recipients can list it on their CV, share it with their employer, and display it in their practice setting.
