I applied to UMass because it is only one of four US programs that offer a 6-year combined psychiatry and neurology residency program. Because the faculty strongly believe in understanding mental health through the neuropsychiatry lens, both the adult and child psychiatry tracks also provide a well-rounded residency training experience.
