Our curriculum is divided into basic science objectives and clinical skills. However, these categories are not mutually exclusive and there are a number of areas of overlap. The educational program is presented in lecture and seminar formats, interactive bioskills labs and courses of intensive concentration.

The Core Curriculum lecture series includes weekly basic science and clinical science lectures and seminars. The Core consist of three hours of didactic lectures Friday mornings. At University Campus, there are daily fractures conferences and presentations along with weekly pediatrics conferences. At Memorial Campus, there are rotating conferences in Joints, Spine, Foot and Ankle, and Sports. There are also weekly indications conferences.

Every month, a day is spent in the anatomy lab for anatomic dissections preceded by a lecture. Wednesday mornings are reserved for Grand Rounds by faculty, fellows, residents, and guest speakers.

Journal club is held once a month. 

During PGY-2 year, all residents attend the AO Basic Principles of Fracture care course. As a PGY-3, residents attend the Boston Pathology course.
