    • Boston is just a 45 min drive east, "The City of Champions," is home to the Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics, with the Patriots located in Foxborough nearby. 

    • Worcester has the Railers, a minor league hockey team, and the Pirates, an indoor football team

    • Dozens of local colleges have football, basketball, hockey and more, including Boston University, Boston College, UMass Amherst, Harvard, Holy Cross and more. 

    • The AAA Worcester Red Sox are currently building their brand new stadium in the heart of Worcester and will begin playing in 2021

    • The Boston Marathon starts in Hopkinton every Partriot's Day in the spring 

  • Skiing

    • Many residents enjoy skiing throughout the winter months and there is no shortage of options nearby

    • Wachusett Mountain is about a half hour drive from the hospital 

    • Major ski resorts in Vermont and New Hampshire are 2-3 hours away

    • There are numerous state parks in the area and lake Quinsigamond right at the hospital providing ample opportunities for hiking, kayaking, fishing, and more

    • The White Mountains of New Hampshire are a 2 hour drive north providing world class hiking and access to the Appalachian Trail

    • The Beaches of Cape Cod and Rhode Island are readily accessible
