Patricia Franklin brings PRO expertise to national mobile health initiative
Date Posted: Friday, September 22, 2017"The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has recruited UMass Chan Medical School’s Patricia Franklin, MD, MBA, MPH, to help the agency determine how mobile health apps and wearables can be used to evaluate the performance and safety of implantable medical devices. Dr. Franklin was invited to be a member of The Mobilizing mHealth Innovation for Real-World Evidence Generation working group, convened by the FDA and the Duke Margolis Center for Health Policy, for her expertise in patient-reported outcomes following total joint replacement surgery and implant surveillance."
