Guidance on Narrative Statement

                                                  i.      The narrative statement is a 2-3 page document that describes how you have achieved the criteria in your Area of Distinction (AOD) for promotion. At UMass-Chan, the criteria for promotion vary based on your AOD.

1.      Broadly, your narrative statement should be organized as follows:
         a.      Introduction
         b.     Area(s) of distinction – Level (Entry, Established, Senior)
                  i.      You do not need to comment on any areas of distinction that do not apply to you
         c.      Academic Service
         d.     Summary
