Dr. Volturo is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine. He trained in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at the UMass Chan Medical School. He is a graduate of the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University.

His research interests include community acquired pneumonia and respiratory tract infections.
