Outside interests: When I'm not in the hospital, I enjoy outdoor activities including soccer, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. I also enjoy exploring the various restaurants and breweries that central Massachusetts has to offer.
Why UMMS?: I chose UMass Chan Medical School because of the sense of community I felt during the interview day along with the exceptional training provided to the residents. Worcester's central geographic location and the fact that it is the second largest city in New England meant that I would be exposed to a diverse patient population with a wide range of clinical complexity. In addition, the anesthesiology program is unique in that it offers a well-rounded intern year in both surgery and medicine. So far, my experience here has exceeded my expectations. -

Why UMMS?: I went to medical school here and after rotating through the department I fell in love with the specialty through the passion of the staff. From the attendings to the anesthesia techs, everyone was enthusiastic about the field and eager to teach, so I knew staying at my home institution would be the best place for me to learn.
