Sam Sarli
Sam graduated from Lehigh University in 2016 with a BS in Behavioral Neuroscience. After graduation, Sam then joined the lab of Jesse Gray at Harvard Medical School, where she studied experience-dependent myelination and its role in learning and memory. As a graduate student in the Watts lab at UMass Chan, Sam studied chemical approaches to improve the delivery, activity, and safety of oligonucleotides to the brain. Her thesis research focused on investigating lipid conjugates as a strategy to enhance functional oligonucleotide delivery to glioblastoma tumor cells. After completing her PhD, Sam continues her work at the intersection of antisense therapies and neurological diseases with Tim Yu's group as a post-doc at Boston Children's Hospital. When not in the lab, Sam enjoys biking, trying new foods, drinking caffeine, and admiring plants.
