Rhea Chatterjee

Rhea grew up in Singapore before moving to the US to pursue her undergraduate education. She earned her BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Penn State in 2021 and completed a co-op with Moderna in the same year. She went on to contribute to mRNA-based vaccine development at Pfizer until 2024 before joining UMass Chan. She aims to explore and improve nucleic acid therapies in her PhD research as a joint advisee of the Watts/Sontheimer labs.
