Where and when will the program be held?

The TTS Core training program is held in Worcester, MA. To view upcoming dates in Worcester, please visit this page.

Our UMass TTS Core program trained participants are eligible to attend the Umass Train the Trainer Program. For more details on the Train the Trainer program go to this page.

What is the cost of the program?

The cost of the 3 day training in Worcester is $1300. This includes a TTS Manual, access to resources and handouts through our member-only website. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are offered on all training days. 

What are the requirements for taking TTS Core training?

Participants must be tobacco-free for 6 months prior to the training. There are no minimum education level or license/certification requirements to attend the TTS core training.

Do you offer CEUs?

We offer CEUs for the following:

  • CHES/MCHES (23.5 CEUs)
  • General certificate of completion (23.5 total hours)

Will this program allow me to apply for NCTTP Credentialing as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist?

Yes. Attending and successfully completing the UMass TTS Core Training is a step towards credentialing. You can apply for the National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice (NCTTP) once you've completed the TTS training. Read more about the application process here.
