Status Quo:

There's a lack of understanding of how and why vitiligo starts and progresses, especially the role of genetics and environment in triggering the disease.

What We Study:

The VIGOR study aims to identify early signs of vitiligo by studying skin and blood biomarkers. The study will follow 1,000 participants with vitiligo and their family members over several years to find patterns that may predict the onset or worsening of the condition.

How We Innovate:

The study uses at-home sample collection methods, including skin tape strips and blood tests, making it easy for participants to contribute remotely. It also tracks genetic and environmental factors to better understand the causes of vitiligo.
