    Dr. Schaal is a clinician-scientist specializing in the cutting-edge medical and surgical treatment of complex vitreoretinal diseases.     Dr. Seddon pioneered the field of epidemiology in ophthalmology and initiated studies of genetics in macular degeneration. She previously founded and directed Ophthalmic Epidemiology and Genetics Services at Harvard and Tufts in Boston. Read more ›

    Haijiang Lin, M.D., Ph.D.

    Associate Professor & Director of Translational Research Center

    Dr. Lin is an ophthalmologist fellowship trained in medical retina. Dr. Lin serves as a general ophthalmologist, who provides excellent eye care for patients with multi-specialty conditions, including eyeglasses prescription, cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, and age-related macular degeneration. Read more ›

    Misha Faustina, M.D., FACS

    Assistant Professor & Director of Oculoplastic Services

    Dr. Faustina is currently the Director of Oculoplastic Services, specializing in disease and surgery of the eyelid and brow, the boney eye socket (orbit) and the tear drainage system.  She is also the Director of Medical Education for the Department of Ophthalmology, creating a Ophthalmology Residency Program at UMass and designing medical student curriculum.   • Gabriel Luna

    Gabriel Luna, M.D.

    Assistant Professor & Director of Anterior Segment/Glaucoma

    Dr. Luna received his undergraduate/graduate degree from Universidad Popular Autonoma del Estado de Puebla and went onto Bascom Palmer Eye Institute to receive a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship before he completed his Ophthalmology residency at Boston University Medical Center.     Priya M. Janardhana, M.D.

    Assistant Professor & Director of Uveitis Service

    Dr. Janardhana was part of the early medical acceptance program, ENGMEDIC, at Boston University. She graduated summa cum laude, 3rd rank, from the College of Engineering, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and completed medical school and residency at Boston University/Boston Medical Center.

    Dan Yoon, M.D.

    Dr. Dan Yoon graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Swarthmore College with a BA in Biology and obtained his MD from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Yoon completed his medicine internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City where he was elected as the prelim intern of the year and ophthalmology residency at University of Illinois at Chicago and Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary.     Juan Ding, O.D., Ph.D.

    Assistant Professor

    Dr. Ding is currently working on screening diabetic eye diseases at the Diabetes Center at the Ambulatory Care Center, as well as providing optometric services at the Eye Center including refraction, contact lenses, and comprehensive eye exams to adults and pediatric patients.     Dr. Ana Bonaldi graduated cum laude from Montclair State University with a BA in Biology and obtained her OD graduating as salutatorian and Summa Cum Laude from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
