Research
My research focuses on the mechanisms that maintain organelle homeostasis during development, with a particular emphasis on autophagy and alternative pathways of organelle clearance. Using Drosophila genetics and cell biological approaches, I investigate how mitochondria and the endoplasmic reticulum are selectively remodeled and cleared, and how autophagy-related proteins, including Atg8a, contribute to these processes. My work aims to understand how distinct organelle clearance pathways coordinate cellular remodeling and maintain tissue homeostasis during development.
