Upcoming Webinar: Discover What Works to Reduce Serious Youth Reoffending

Date Posted: Monday, September 15, 2025

Overview: The Youth Protective Factors Study is an unprecedented multistate, multiyear examination of youth’s risk and protective factors—and juvenile justice systems’ services—that most strongly influence reoffending among youth ages 10 to 23. This study shares key findings to guide jurisdictions in applying research-based strategies for juvenile justice supervision, case planning, and service delivery to enhance public safety and improve youth outcomes.

Join us, along with the CSG Justice Center and UC Berkeley’s Risk-Resilience Lab, for a webinar on the latest findings from the third brief of the Youth Protective Factors Study. This research explores how protective factors and strength-based services impact long-term youth reoffending and what jurisdictions can do to improve services and youth outcomes.

This session shares key findings from detailed service and outcome tracking of thousands of youth across three states, highlighting which risk factors predict serious reoffending, how services align with best practices, and strategies to improve supervision and resource use.
