    Research Focus: Balloony's scientific passion is human behavior and gnome mythology.

    Scientific History: Balloony has spent its entire career in the Doofenshmirtz Lab.

    Fun Fact: Outside the lab, Balloony enjoys floating on a gentle breeze.

  • Brian Kelch

    Brian Kelch, PhD

    Associate Professor; Principal Investigator

    Research Focus:  The Kelch Lab utilizes structural biology and biochemistry to reveal the workings of large macromolecular complexes, with a special focus on those involved in DNA replication/repair and virus assembly.

  • Perry the Platypus

    Perry the Platypus

    Lab Manager

    Research Focus: Perry contributes to the Doofenshmirtz Lab by making sure everything is safe and works properly.

    Scientific History: Perry previously worked as an animal espionage agent with OWCA (Organization Without a Cool Acronym), which is what eventually led him to join the Doofenshmirtz group.

    Fun Fact: Outside the lab, Perry enjoys exercising and staying fit.
