How to apply for the fellowship?

Interested candidates should submit an application through the AAMC’s Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). The site provides up-to-date information on the ERAS application process. The ERAS 2025 season starts in early June 2024, and our fellowship will start to receive applications by mid-July, 2024. The application deadline is Thursday, October 31, 2024, at midnight. 

The Clinical Informatics Fellowship will participate in the AMIA Clinical Informatics Fellowship Match and not the NRMP. All Applicants must be a current AMIA member.

Program Name: UMass Chan Medical School Program.


Who is eligible to apply? 

Applicants must have completed an ACGME-accredited residency or a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)-accredited residency program by July 1. In addition, fellows must be able to obtain independent/full medical licensure in the state of Massachusetts to enable independent medical practice. We consider applicants from ALL types of residency programs even though the fellowship is sponsored by the UMass Chan Department of Medicine.

Program size: The fellowship is approved for 4 total fellows, typically 2 in year one and 2 in year two.
Interviews: Interviews will take place via video conferencing between September and November 2024. Specific dates to follow.
