Corey Costanzo, DO, MPH, MS Assistant Professor of Family Medicine Boston Medical Center, 2022 Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2019 Clinical/Academic Areas of Interest: Women’s health and obstetrics, family planning, rural medicine, osteopathic medicine, public health. About UMass: After finishing residency in Boston, I was looking for a clinic where I could provide quality, full spectrum care, including maternity care and osteopathic treatment, for families. Barre Family Health Center has a long history of dedication to the surrounding communities while also having the benefit of being a part of the UMass system allowing patients access to continuity and specialty care. I also very much enjoy clinical teaching and sharing the knowledge I have learned with the next generation of physicians. I feel very grateful for the opportunity to become a part of the Barre team and work with such a caring group of staff and providers. Personal Facts: My training has taken me from coast to coast, from Boston to Colorado back to Boston and finally home to central Mass. I could not be more excited to return and provide care to the communities I grew up close to! Outside of work, I spend most time with family and friends. I enjoy the outdoors and am always trying to fit in as much skiing, paddleboarding, and hiking as possible!

Stephen Earls, MD Associate Professor of Family Medicine Former Education Director and Medical Director Columbian College of Arts and Sciences of The George Washington University The George Washington University, MD Miriam Hospital Internal Medicine Residency University of Massachusetts/Worcester City Hospital Areas of Interest and Research: Rural Health, Healthcare and Practice Management About UMass: Our health centers are the strength of our program. Located in the community rather than in the hospital, our residents enjoy an opportunity to be a genuine community family physician while experiencing the excellent training offered in a major university medical center. About Choosing Family Medicine: I grew up with a general practitioner providing care to my family and was impressed with the way in which he was able to make it all seem like it would turn out all right. Meeting a community need as he did became my ambition and I felt I could only do that in Family Medicine. While the science of medicine is interesting, the relationship with patients is what I enjoy. Personal Facts: Avid but not very good golfer. Proud father and grandfather.

Cynthia D. Jeremiah, MD Medical Director at Barre Family Health Center Assistant Professor Medical University of Silesia in Katowice Poland, 2005 Residency at UMass Chan Family Medicine; Barre Family Health Center, 2009 Areas of Interest and Research: Childhood development, adolescent health, women’s health About UMass: BFHC in my mind defines family medicine as you take care of people from birth to death, as well as provide urgent care, and OB care. You can't get more complete than that. It’s a wonderful place to work. It can get pretty busy, but it never loses its small town charm. Personal Facts: I enjoy cutting people’s hair, and cooking, but not at the same time! (That would be a fire hazard.)
