Advancing Mentorship at UMass Chan

The Center for Leadership in Inclusive Mentoring and Belonging (CLIMB) aims to promote campus-wide mentorship excellence by increasing the number of trained mentorship facilitators, expanding the availability of formalized mentorship training and individualized consultation for mentors, and serving as the hub for mentorship knowledge and resource sharing.

CLIMB is a centralized infrastructure that brings together faculty leaders in partnership with our trainees, collaborating across disciplines to synergize our mentoring and mentorship training programs. We believe that strong mentoring and mentorship training can truly transform our research, education, and clinical spaces and help overcome the systemic barriers that persist in academic medicine and research.
