About Our Center

"The UMass Chan Alpha-1 Center is a team of caregivers and researchers devoted to improving the health and well-being of patients with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency and their families. We offer a full range of adult and pediatric physicians and nurses, including adult and pediatric pulmonary, liver disease, and liver transplant services. Our research team is pursuing multiple different approaches, all aimed at finding a cure for Alpha-1."
