  • Jeroan Allison

    Jeroan Allison, MD MS

    Dr. Jeroan Allison currently serves as the Chair for the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at the UMass Chan Medical School. Initially trained as a primary care physician, Dr. Allison has made an increasing commitment to the emerging field of health equity intervention over the past 10 years.  His team has a particular interest in the concept of narrative intervention, or “storytelling” to address health disparities. Over the past 15 years, he has maintained continuous funding from several extra-mural sources such as the National Institutes of Health, the Agency for Health Care Quality and Research, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Dr. Allison is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Medical Care, a leading journal in the field of health services research sponsored by the Medical Care Section of the American Public Health Association. He holds a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health and is board certified in Internal Medicine.

    Research interest in implementation science and the use of health informatics, patient-facing technologies, and behavioral economics to enhance health care delivery and support for patients with chronic diseases. Experience developing, implementing and evaluating mixed-method studies to support patients with diabetes self-management and smoking cessation. Epic certified in Research: Clinical tools.

  • Jatin Dave

    In his dual medical leadership roles, Dr. Dave is the primary clinical liaison and lead between MassHealth (Massachusetts Medicaid) and ForHealth Consulting, emphasizing the close working relationship between the organizations. In addition to helping guide the leadership team in the Office of Clinical Affairs, Dr. Dave is a key part of the MassHealth executive team. As chief medical officer, he provides medical, clinical, policy, and strategic oversight of all healthcare services for MassHealth members and represents the program on clinical matters.

    Joy L. Lee is a health services researcher using mixed methods to improve healthcare quality through examining patient-centeredness, healthcare equity, and patient safety through the lens of health informatics.  Her research pays special attention to electronic communication in healthcare, the healthcare utilization and experiences transgender and gender diverse adults, and the impact of health information technology on patient safety. Outside of work, Dr. Lee enjoys Teddy Grahams, Instagram, and getting way too competitive about Bananagrams.

    Research interests include understanding healthcare utilization and health outcomes among women Veterans, particularly in the areas of reproductive health care, particularly pregnancy and other gender-specific conditions, and the degree to which women veterans utilize both VA and non-VA care for these conditions.

    Regina Fisher Raboin, MSLIS, is the Associate Director at the Lamar Soutter Library (LSL), UMass Chan Medical School. Her scholarly interests are in democratic leadership/participative management, scholarly communications, open access and publishing, research data management, research and education support and humanities in medicine. Regina sits on UMass Chan’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) where she is a protocol reviewer and voting member. She is also the Editor-in-chief of the open access journal, Journal of eScience Librarianship (JeSLIB), published by Lamar Soutter Library.
