Dr. Moorman is a bicentennial professor of Advanced Analytics at the University of Virginia. His overarching hypothesis is that subacute potentially catastrophic illnesses have prodromal signatures in the physiological monitoring data. He led a large, randomized trial of premature infants, showing that display of a predictive analytics monitor improved survival.
