UMass Ophthalmology at NEOS 2022
Date Posted: Wednesday, June 22, 2022On Friday, June 3rd, the UMass Ophthalmology residents attended the New England Ophthalmological Society (NEOS) meeting at the Hotel Commonwealth in Boston. They attended lectures regarding cataract surgery in the setting of corneal disease in the morning, with the afternoon sessions focused on increasing diversity and equity in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Priya Janardhana, one of our uveitis specialists at UMass, gave a fantastic talk on perioperative management of HSV and VZV patients. The residents were able to network with other Ophthalmology residents in Massachusetts and the rest of New England. A great aspect of the day was participating in the annual NEOS resident and fellow poster session.
