The Eye Team Celebrates Margaret (Peggy) Thrappas and Kate Wood as They Move on to Another Chapter in Their Lives

The Eye Team celebrated two beloved members of the marketing team, Peggy Thrappas and Kate Wood, and thanked them for their significant contributions to the marketing efforts of UMass Memorial Eye Center. Peggy led the new marketing campaign for the Eye Center, that began in 2017, and Kate joined the effort in 2018.

Dr. Schaal, chair of the department of ophthalmology & visual sciences, said: “it is such a pleasure to work with a creative, prolific, original group of people. I have personally learned a lot from the marketing team. Over time, they became an integral part of the Eye Team”.

Peggy Thrappas said: “ I had a great time working with the Eye Team. I feel we helped spread the word about the many innovative things the team was involved in over the past two years”. Kate Wood will continue leading the Ophthalmology department marketing efforts till the end of September 2018. Jodie Grady will be stepping  up to fill in Peggy’s “big shoes” in leading future marketing endeavors for the department.
