Farewell Dr. Asdourian!

On September 27, 2017, on his last full day of clinic, Dr. George Asdourian was surprised by the entire staff at the UMass Memorial Eye Center with a wonderful lunch celebration. Dr. Asdourian was presented with a variety of farewell gifts. These included many pairs of socks (he loves colorful socks, some of which included the E chart and the evil eye), a necktie, a pack of giant playing cards, and a new UMass Memorial Eye Center mug, to name a few.
Dr. Asdourian posed with everyone individually who attended the lunch party. Jackie Volke, who worked many years alongside with Dr. Asdourian said: “We will miss “Dr. A” for his compassionate nature, his willingness to pitch in, and for his many years of dedicated service to our beloved Eye Center. The place won’t be the same without you, Dr. Asdourian!”.
The official Retirement Party for Dr. Asdourian will take place at the Eye Center on November 7th 2017 at 6:00 PM. Everyone who worked and appreciated Dr. Asdourian over the years is invited to attend. Please join us for an Official Institutional Acknowledgment and a Library Naming Event.
