Vision Seminar Series awarded Regeneron Educational Grant
Date Posted: Friday, May 19, 2017The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at the UMass Chan Medical School was awarded an educational grant of $10,000 by Regeneron. The grant will be supporting the annual educational program of the Vision Seminar Series, including covering costs of visiting national and international ophthalmology leaders.
"This grant will allow us to enhance our Vision Seminar Series to further the department's national recognition", said Dr. Schaal, professor and chair of the department. "We are thankful to Regeneron for their strong support of ophthalmic education". The Vision Seminar Series was established in August 2016, and has drawn much attention. Seminars are held every 3rd Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM at the Albert Sherman Center on the 6th floor conference room.
Attendees include medical students, trainees, residents, fellows, researchers, and faculty members. Community ophthalmologists are welcome to attend these seminars.
