Dr. Misha Faustina Joins the Eye Team at UMass Chan Medical School and UMass Memorial Healthcare
Date Posted: Wednesday, April 19, 2017Misha Faustina, M.D., FACS will be joining the UMass faculty to help launch the Oculoplastics Service and the Ophthalmolgy Residency Program. Dr. Faustina is a graduate of Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee.
She completed a general surgery internship at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C., followed by ophthalmology residency at State University of New York- Downstate Medical Center Health Science Center Brooklyn, and fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Her clinical practice has focused on cancers, traumas, and aging issues around the eye, as well as cosmetic rejuvenation. Her medical education experience ranges from physical diagnosis and simulation training of medical students and creating objective structured clinical examinations (OSCE) to coaching physicians preparing for their ophthalmology board certifications.
