Dr. Hemant Khanna will talk about his laboratory’s investigations on understanding the pathogenesis of severe retinal degenerative diseases.
At the RD2016 meeting, he will present new information on the regulation of RPGR (retinitis pigmentosa GTPase regulator) function, a protein associated with severe forms of retinitis pigmentosa due to ciliary dysfunction.
At the ISER conference, he will present his new findings on the use of mouse and zebrafish models to understand the progression and pathogenesis of the retinal degeneration as well as anterior segment disorders, including some forms of glaucoma.
