Tiffany Moore Simas, MD, to present at African Women's Health Fair
April 2011 - The African Woman: Her Health, Beauty and Culture. On Sunday, April 3, 2011, Dr. Tiffany Moore Simas, MD presented “Planning for a Healthy Pregnancy and Baby: Having a Baby in Your 20s, 30s and 40s” as part of the annual African Women’s Health Fair at the Worcester YWCA. The free event, sponsored by Umass Memorial Medical Center, UHAI for Health, Inc. and local community organizations aims to raise awareness about preventable health conditions among Worcester’s African-born community.
Traditional African dancing groups, a fashion show and African cuisine were among the planned activities during the 4-hour event. In addition, a Ronald McDonald Care Mobile dental hygienist will promote preventive dental care and access to service. Day care available.
