UMass Chan Center’s Nurse Practitioner Council names Katharine O’Dell, CNM, PhD its 2010 Nurse Practitioner Exemplar Award winner.

The Medical Center’s Nurse Practitioner Council recently celebrated its 2010 Nurse Practitioner Exemplar and Leadership Award recipients. Exemplar Award winner Katharine O’Dell CNM, PhD pictured second from left of her nominator, Julia Johnson, MD, chair of ob/gyn, was recognized for her education of medical and nursing students and her patients.

Also pictured is Janet McDade, NP, Leadership Award winner, and her nominator, Justin Maykel, MD, chief of colon and rectal surgery. Ms. McDade was honored for contributions to her division to teaching and  research and for her council participation.
