The theme is, “Disrupting inequity through structural change: How the crises of 2020, the pandemic and social injustice brought forth the best in the UMMS community.” The program will include a panel discussion with Medical School community leaders on how they responded and implemented change during the past year of adversity brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Employees, faculty and students will also be recognized with awards for service. Recipients of the Chancellor’s Awards for Advancing Institutional Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion and the Martin Luther King Jr. Semester of Service Awards for student-initiated community service projects will be announced.
