UMass Medical School’s commitment to the environment was showcased at its ninth annual Earth Day celebration, according to a report on Charter TV3 Worcester News Tonight and New England Cable News.
"We really look forward to this day every year," said Melissa Lucas, energy and sustainability manager, in the April 22 broadcast. "It's our one chance where we really get to educate the campus."
More than 50 organizations participated in the event, as attendees learned about saving energy, recycling and locally grown products.
