Marcus Ruscetti, PhD, assistant professor in MCCB, and Prabhani Atukorale, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UMass Amherst and adjunct assistant professor in MCCB, have been featured in Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News about their study, "Nanoparticle delivery of innate immune agonists combined with senescence-inducing agents promotes T cell control of pancreatic cancer", recently published in Science Translational Medicine. Drs. Ruscetti and Atukorale teamed up to develop an innovative immunotherapy approach that helps the immune system recognize and eradicate pancreatic cancer.
