All About Worcester

Worcester is the 'heart' of Worcester County, the largest county in Massachusetts and just about smack dab in the middle of the state making all of New England easily accessible; 90-minute drive to Cape Cod and it's vast shoreline, a 75-minute drive to Newport RI and the multi-million dollar mansions, a 2-hour drive through the picturesque western part of the state to Tanglewood/Berkshires, or a 45 minute drive to downtown historical Boston.

But what if you want to relax and enjoy what Worcester has to offer without the long drive? Well, it houses the Worcester Art Museum, the second-largest museum in New England, with a permanent collection of over 30,000 works including Renoir, Monet, and others.  Musically speaking you can find one of the most acoustically perfect halls in the country; the 19th century Mechanics Hall with its hundreds of events throughout the year that includes pop, jazz, blues, opera, and even the sounds of celtic bagpipes! The DCU Center brings Disney on Ice, the circus, A-list comedians, more varieties of music, the Cirque de Soleil, and even its own hockey team, the San Jose Sharks. The most recent addition to the Worcester area has been the Hanover Theatre proving to be a wonderful success bringing Broadway shows, musicals, comedians, and even performances from the Russian ballet.

Worcester's restaurants and nightlife accommodate all types of tastes. Stroll down Shrewsbury Street for tasty bites from all over the world and end your evening with dessert and fresh espresso at an outdoor cafe as just one very small example.

So whether you want to stay close by in Worcester or take a short drive, we are centrally located for all your enjoyment or relaxation pleasures.
