Nathan Lawson receives NIH Outstanding Investigator Award

Nathan Lawson, PhD, has received an NIH Outstanding Investigator Award from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) to study the developmental origins of pericyte heterogeneity. The grant aims to provide new insights into how pericytes—specialized cells present in the walls of capillaries that play a key role in vasculature formation—develop during embryogenesis.
