2nd Annual Diabetes Day at UMass Chan Medical School

Dr. Juan Ding (OD, PhD) and Manisha Anand (Ophthalmic Technician) of the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences presented a poster at the 2nd Annual Diabetes Day hosted by the Diabetes center of Excellence (DCOE) at UMass Chan Medical School. The title of their work was “Developing and implementing a novel Diabetic Eye Disease Screening Service at UMASS”.

The findings provide information about the new eye screening service that we are providing at the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) at UMASS with an aim to not only increase the diabetic eye screening rate but also to assist in the early detection and the prevention of diabetes-related vision loss.
